Quick start guide

Go from sign-up to answering real calls in a few minutes.

Updated September 29, 2026

This guide walks you through setting up GreetWise from scratch. Most businesses are answering real calls within a few minutes.

1. Train it on your business

Search for your Google Business Profile or enter your website. GreetWise reads your hours, services, and key details in about a minute. Review what it found and fix anything that's off.

2. Add your FAQs

Add answers to the questions you get most often, like pricing, service area, or parking. GreetWise uses your answers word for word. See Add FAQs and documents.

3. Make it yours

Pick a name, voice, and personality for your receptionist, and write the greeting callers hear. You can set a separate greeting for after hours.

4. Make a test call

Call your GreetWise number yourself. Ask it the kinds of questions your customers ask. If an answer isn't quite right, update your business info or FAQs and call again.

5. Go live

Forward your business number to GreetWise, either all calls or only the ones you miss. See Set up call forwarding.

Tip

Your free trial includes 25 minutes of calls over 14 days with every feature unlocked, so try booking and transfers too.
